Job description

As our UK Credit & Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for credit management and risk mitigation in the UK. You'll join a UK strike force that will challenge the domestic and international markets with a sustainable lending model. Your main goal will be to make sure that we are as precise as possible regarding our risk analysis.

The setup of our UK Credit and risk offices is only the first step. In the long term, we're looking to you to make a persisting impact. With your help, we'll create an operation that reforms the UK credit market for good.

Role details

Your tasks will include credit analysis, modelling, strategy, partnerships, and navigating and complying with local jurisdiction. You'll be a crucial part of the global team while working day-to-day in the UK market.

Your duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Set up, document and continuously work to improve credit processes. You'll work closely with our Head of credit.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations from insights into customer profiling, customer behaviour and credit performance to build value-creating acquisition and credit management strategies.
  • Be involved in setting up and continuously work to improve customer onboarding and processes for money transfers.
  • Be responsible for AFC (Anti financial crime), including KYC. Set up, document and continuously improve processes for identifying and mitigating fraud, financial crime and money laundering issues. Be our MLRO (Money laundering reporting officer) for the UK branch.

 

Requirements

First and foremost, we believe you share our passion for long-term positive impact.

We also think you're an ambitious person that is meticulous when it comes to details. You likely have a track record that shows you know how to both be offensive and defensive in your role in credit and risk. 

We believe you've got:

  • A Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a relevant field of study.
  • Five years of experience building, launching and improving credit risk models and strategies.
  • A holistic and balanced view on risk control and risk management. 
  • A clear track record of driving innovation and results in your previous roles.
  • Deep-founded respect for the people using our products and services and how we can improve their financial health through sound risk management

We believe you also have:

  • The regional expertise required to run the UK Credit & risk department.
  • Previous experience from working with AFC.
  • Previous experience working with the FCA.
