Meet Simon, our Head of Finance.

You’ve been with Fairlo for almost five years - what does that journey mean to you?
It means a lot to me. I’m proud of Fairlo and the genuine culture we’ve built together. Being part of shaping how we work with finance from the very beginning has been both challenging and rewarding. I’ve grown together with the company, and it’s inspiring to see how our ways of working have developed and matured over time.

You were the project manager for Fairlo becoming a B Corp - how does that feel?
It’s one of the achievements I’m most proud of. B Corp reflects what Fairlo stands for: responsibility, transparency, and long-term thinking. Leading that project felt meaningful, and it was a great example of how our values are not just words, but something we truly live by in our everyday work.

How would you describe yourself as a person and in your role?
I would describe myself as a social and honest person whose work ethic is built on my core values of integrity and fairness. I love helping my colleagues and believe that actions speak louder than words. My goal is always to be fully present and be the best that I can be in any position I’m in. Adaptiveness is one of my biggest strengths, and I’m constantly looking for ways to develop myself and improve what I do. I work efficiently while trying to stay humble, considerate, and supportive of the people around me.

You used to be a professional ping pong player?
That’s true! Table tennis has shaped me a lot, teaching stamina, focus, and continuous improvement. Now that we’re moving into a bigger office, I really hope we’ll have room for a table tennis table - that would be the perfect addition.
